“A fine old Macallan with plenty of depth, complexity and intrigue. There is plenty of sweetness balancing delicate spices which build up on the palate. Refined and finessed throughout the nose and palate with aromas and flavours showing good age with enough tannin to give excellent structure without being drying. Satisfying, contemplative but ultimately delicious.”

Colin Hampden-White - WHISKY WRITER

FROM THE MACALLAN DISTILLERY

Nestled at the heart of Scotland’s beautiful Speyside whisky-making region, The Macallan’s exceptional spirit, revered forits rich, refined character, is founded on six pillars of creation: the Spiritual Home of Easter Elchies House; its curiously small copper stills; selecting only the finest cut of spirit; maturation in exceptional oak casks; its all natural colour; and its peerless spirit arising from mastery and intricacy. Together these combine to make The Macallan one of the world’s most recognised and appreciated spirits enjoyed by connoisseurs in every corner of the globe.

Nose

Waxy honey and dark vanilla fudge lead into coconut-rich floral notes. Dried apricots, figs, and hazelnuts add depth, with a gentle touch of spice and fine oak in the background.

Palate

Sweet caramel toffee, chocolate, and spiced apples lead, with cloves in the background. Rich dried fruits—raisins, currants, and dates—follow, rounded by demerara sugar, dried tobacco, fine oak, and a hint of beeswax.
